Canada Healthy Communities Initiative

COVID-19 has seriously impacted our access and use of public spaces which are the glue to our communities. They are a big part of what makes communities safe, vibrant and connected.

CFSO is proud to be working with CFC and the Government of Canada and other community foundations in Southern BC to provide $1,562,140 total of funding to projects showing creativity and resourcefulness in creating solutions that enable people to connect and access public spaces safely, while still respecting public health measures.

The focus is to support projects that will create safe and vibrant public spaces, improve mobility options and provide innovative digital solutions to connect people and improve health.

There are two rounds of applications being accepted:

• Round 1- Applications accepted between Feb 9th – Mar 9th, 2021
• Round 2 – Applications accepted from May 14th – June 25th, 2021
